Kyra Brandt is a fine artist living in San Diego, California. Kyra graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with degrees in Studio Arts and Anthropology. Kyra’s formative training began with the artist, Maria del Carmen Calvo. She has been an artist in residence with the North Central Ohio Land Conservancy and recipient of distinguished artist awards. Kyra is involved with the New York City Critique Club and the art collective TNT. Her artwork has been shown in many California-based art exhibits, Brooklyn, NY and currently has representation with the San Diego-based False Cast Gallery's World Series SD art program. Kyra's work was also acquired by the Carmel Peninsula Community Hospital's notable art collection and can be seen on site.
Currently, she will be attending San Diego State University's Masters of Science Counseling program with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2022. Kyra seeks to leverage art as a way of healing to aide others in their therapeutic journeys.
